# CloudWatch metrics

Ingest AWS CloudWatch metrics from multiple AWS regions into Grafana Cloud and store them in Prometheus format.

Use CloudWatch metrics to monitor infrastructure health, create alerts, and query AWS data with PromQL.

## Choose a collection method

Use one of the following collection methods depending on your AWS setup and monitoring goals:

Choose the path that matches your current goal. If you want to send metrics into Grafana Cloud quickly, start with configuring either metric streams or scrape. Otherwise, you can query, visualize, or troubleshoot existing data.
