# Destination reached!

- Opened and named your alert rule
- Built a Prometheus query with the visual query builder
- Set the alert condition and threshold
- Selected a folder and added routing labels
- Configured evaluation interval, pending period, and keep firing for

- Added a summary and description, then saved and activated your alert rule

You now have a saved alert rule. If you selected **empty** as the contact point, change it to one with a working destination before you rely on notifications.
