# Analyze with AI (Optional)

You can ask AI to explain flame graphs.

This milestone needs [Grafana Assistant](/docs/grafana-cloud/machine-learning/assistant/get-started/) enabled, or otherwise the [LLM plugin](/grafana/plugins/grafana-llm-app/) (`grafana-llm-app`) installed and enabled. If neither is available, you can finish the journey without this step.

On a regular **Flame graph**, look for **Analyze with Assistant** or **Explain Flame Graph**. Here on Diff, use **Analyze with Assistant** or **Explain Diff Flame Graph**.

To analyze with AI, complete the following steps:

If the analysis runs, it summarizes bottlenecks and likely root causes.
