# View and merge changes in GitHub

After creating a pull request from Grafana, you view and review the changes in GitHub. Pull requests display the dashboard JSON modifications, allow team members to comment and review, and provide merge controls when changes are approved.

To view and merge changes in GitHub, complete the following steps:

In this section, you review and merge the pull request in GitHub.

1. Complete the GitHub workflow in the pull request that opened from Grafana.
2. Review the pull request title and description.
3. Click **Files changed** and confirm the dashboard JSON changes match your intended modifications, such as new panel definitions, modified queries, or updated visualization settings.
4. Optionally, add reviewers with the gear icon next to **Reviewers**, or add comments to specific lines in the diff with the plus icon next to the line number.
5. When the changes are approved and ready to merge, click **Merge pull request**, then click **Confirm merge**.
6. Optionally, click **Delete branch**.

You reviewed the pull request and merged the dashboard changes in GitHub. Git Sync detects the change in the repository and updates the dashboard in Grafana on the next poll (60 seconds by default), or almost immediately if webhooks are enabled.
