# Verify metrics arrive in Grafana Cloud

As the final step in your path, confirm that the samples Prometheus pushes are stored in Grafana Cloud Metrics. Metrics Drilldown lists the metrics in a data source, so it’s a quick way to check without writing a query.

To verify that your metrics arrive, complete the following steps:

1. In your Grafana Cloud stack, open the navigation menu and click **Drilldown > Metrics**.
2. If you see a **Let’s start** button, click it.
3. Check the **Data source** picker at the top of the page. Your stack’s Grafana Cloud Metrics data source is named `grafanacloud-<STACK_NAME>-prom`. If a different data source is selected, choose that one.
   
   Metrics Drilldown shows visualizations for the metrics in the selected data source.
4. In the search field above the metrics list, enter the name of a metric that Prometheus scrapes, for example `up`.

When the metric appears with recent data, Prometheus is sending samples to Grafana Cloud. If it doesn’t appear yet, wait a moment and search again.

**Congratulations!** Your Prometheus server is sending metrics to Grafana Cloud.
