For the complete documentation index, see [llms-full.txt](/llms-full.txt). # Zabbix data source The Zabbix data source connects Grafana to your Zabbix monitoring infrastructure. You can query metrics, display problems and triggers, monitor IT service SLA data, create annotations from Zabbix events, and build interactive dashboards with template variables. The plugin also supports querying historical data directly from the Zabbix database for improved performance on large time ranges. ## Requirements - Grafana 11.6.0 or later. - The Zabbix plugin installed and enabled in your Grafana instance. Zabbix is an app plugin, so after you install it you must also enable it on the plugin page before the data source becomes available. Refer to [Install the plugin](#install-the-plugin) for installation and upgrade instructions, or to [Install and enable the Zabbix plugin](/docs/plugins/alexanderzobnin-zabbix-app/latest/configure/#install-and-enable-the-zabbix-plugin) for step-by-step instructions. - A running Zabbix server with API access enabled. - A Zabbix user account with read permissions for the host groups and hosts you want to query. ## Install the plugin Install the plugin by using one of the following methods: - In Grafana, go to **Administration** > **Plugins and data** > **Plugins**, search for **Zabbix**, and click **Install**. - Use the Grafana CLI: sh ![Copy code to clipboard](/media/images/icons/icon-copy-small-2.svg) Copy ```sh grafana cli plugins install alexanderzobnin-zabbix-app ``` > **Note:** In Grafana versions that ship the standalone `grafana-cli` binary, run `grafana-cli plugins install alexanderzobnin-zabbix-app` instead. The standalone binary is deprecated in favor of the `grafana cli` subcommand. After you configure the data source, you can ask the Assistant to: - **Discover resources** by listing host groups, hosts, and items across your Zabbix infrastructure. - **Inspect problems** by retrieving active problems and filtering them by severity. - **Build dashboards** by querying metrics and generating ready-to-use time series panels from your prompts. Grafana Assistant is available in Grafana Cloud and in self-managed Grafana connected to a Grafana Cloud stack. To learn more, refer to [Grafana Assistant](/docs/grafana/latest/administration/assistant/). ## Pre-built dashboards The plugin includes three pre-built dashboards that you can import from the data source configuration page: - **Zabbix System Status:** Overview of active problems and system health. - **Zabbix Template Linux Server:** Linux server monitoring with CPU, memory, disk, and network metrics. - **Zabbix Server Dashboard:** Zabbix server performance and internal metrics. To import a dashboard, navigate to **Connections** > **Data sources**, select your Zabbix data source, and click the **Dashboards** tab. ## Plugin updates Always ensure that your plugin version is up-to-date so you have access to all current features and improvements.
